Dr. Dan Pop is a dentist based in Liverpool with a postgraduate diploma in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics and advanced training in implantology and oral surgery. But credentials aside, what actually drives his work is a simple conviction: treat the cause, not just the consequence.

That means looking beyond the teeth. A crowded arch isn't just an aesthetic problem — it may point to an underdeveloped jaw, a compromised airway, or a pattern that will keep causing problems if you only address the surface. Dan trained in Romania, worked across the Isle of Man and the UK, and completed his postgraduate orthodontic diploma at the London Dental Institute in 2024. That journey exposed him to a wide range of approaches — and made him increasingly sceptical of the extraction-first orthodontic model that still dominates much of UK practice. His preference is to develop and expand, to give the face what it needs rather than take away what's inconvenient.

This is what drew him to airway-focused dentistry and, more recently, to DOMEzero — a palatal expansion system that fits naturally into his way of thinking about patients.

Outside the clinic, Dan is a husband and father of two young children who keep life full and loud. He bakes his own bread, fires up the barbecue whenever the British weather allows, and travels whenever he can — partly for the food, partly because seeing how other parts of the world live has always shaped how he thinks about his own.
